The robbery's mastermind keeps his three hired guns anonymous, each known only by a torn playing card, but the wrongly accused Joe Rolfe will not let the matter rest. Trailing one robber to a Mexican resort, Rolfe takes the dead man's place and works his way inside the gang while the unseen planner watches and the planner's daughter falls for him. A final confrontation on the water leaves the crooks dead and Rolfe's name, at last, made clean.
