The Story
On the wild Cornish coast, an orphaned girl discovers that her new home is the lair of murderous wreckers.
Arriving to stay with her aunt at Jamaica Inn, Mary Yellan finds the place fronting a gang that snuffs out coastal beacons to sink ships, then plunders the wrecks and silences the survivors. As Mary is drawn into their deadly world, she cannot be sure who among the local gentry can be trusted. Alfred Hitchcock's last British film, a rousing seafaring thriller from a Daphne du Maurier novel.
