The Story
A meek baby photographer who dreams of being a hard-boiled detective gets mistaken for the real thing.
When the glamorous Carlotta hires Ronnie Jackson to find her missing uncle, the daydreamer is plunged into a genuine racket involving a map to hidden uranium. Framed for murder and tangled with sinister heavies, Ronnie bluffs and blunders his way through a case far too big for him. Bob Hope at his quick-witted best in a loving spoof of tough-guy thrillers, with a few surprise star cameos along the way.
