The Story
A scatterbrained society matron with a habit of adopting tramps takes in a stranger who is not what he seems.
When Mrs. Kilbourne hires the well-spoken Wade Rawlins as a chauffeur despite her family's horror, sparks fly between him and her sharp-tongued daughter Jerry. Mistaken identities, social-climbing rivals, and a newspaper that reports Rawlins dead in a crash all pile into glorious screwball confusion. As the household careens from one misunderstanding to the next, the supposed vagabond proves himself the most charming man in the room and wins the girl who least expected to fall.
