Double Indemnity

Bleeding from a gunshot, salesman Walter Neff dictates how Phyllis Dietrichson lured him into killing her husband and faking the accident that triggers a double-indemnity claim. They stage the death on a train and think themselves clear, but Neff's friend, the dogged claims investigator Barton Keyes, smells fraud in every detail. As suspicion tightens and Phyllis proves more lethal than Neff guessed, the lovers turn their guns on each other, and the scheme collapses into confession and death.
