In 1868, Professor Aronnax, his servant Conseil, and the harpooner Ned Land are taken aboard the Nautilus, the submarine Nemo commands on a private war against the warships of the world. Awed and imprisoned in equal measure, they glimpse undersea wonders and survive the grip of a giant squid.
