The Story
In 1920s Tokyo, an American newspaperman stumbles onto a secret blueprint for Japanese conquest.
Editor Nick Condon obtains a militarist war plan after a colleague is murdered, then hides it as the secret police close in. Drawn to the elusive Iris Hilliard, who works for the men he is fighting yet secretly aids the anti-war cause, Condon is interrogated, hunted, and forced to fight for his life. With a liberal official's death authenticating the document, he makes a desperate, bloodied run for the safety of the American embassy and the truth it carries.
